My Career

Here are my archives, including many of the articles I have written since beginning my career in the early seventies until now; from counterculture days in San Francisco to contemporary Washington. Believe me, there have been some characters along the way. I was in the recording studio with Stevie Wonder, in Ashbury Park with Bruce Springsteen when he was 26 years old and was the first to interview Bob Dylan when he resumed his career in 1973. More recently I interviewed the leading members of the Obama administration to accompany Annie Leibowitz’s photos in Vanity Fair.
