An exciting moment occured at our conference in Tel Aviv, "From the UN to Negotiations: Implications of UN Events on the Peace Process." We heard interesting and thought-provoking statements from Brig. Gen. (res) Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, Prof. Gabriela Shalev, Former Palestinian Minister Ashraf Al-Ajrami, and Yesha Council Chairman Danny Dayan.
But right as the question and answer session was about to begin, our panel moderator announced an urgent government meeting regarding the release of captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Read more here.

Last month, Shas party leaders met senior Palestinian officials in Budapest in a seminar organized by the Geneva Initiative.
