Tomorrow, July 20, 2011, you are going to vote on the proposal to establish a parliamentary commission of inquiry into civil society organizations, including the undersigned.

Before you decide how to vote, we would like to call your attention to the following:

Press release, July 12, 2011: A new Israeli law passed on Monday prohibits boycott of businesses, universities, and social and cultural institutions based in Israel and the illegal settlements, and imposes heavy financial sanctions against civil society organisations and businesses that participate in boycotts.

A few days after I was assaulted by Police Commander Kobi Behar adjacent to the uprooted village of

Bara’am on 15.5.11, the day for commemorating the Palestinian Nakba, “Every Moment” Radio claimed

that: “before the slap, Attorney Meissa Irshaid, from Nazareth, physically assaulted the police officer,

and the documented slap was the officer’s instinctive response”.
