We provide links to articles we think will be of interest to our supporters, informing them of issues, events, debates and the wider context of the conflict. We are sympathetic to much of the content of what we post, but not to everything. The fact that something has been linked to here does not necessarily mean that we endorse the views expressed in it.

A guide to the literature on Israel-Palestine and the wider region

There are a large number of good books and films relating to the history and development of Israel-Palestine and the wider region. Over time, we aim to build up a reference library of links to recommended books and films and to critical commentary on them.

Here is a simple listing of half-a-dozen introductory books to go on with:

Mike Berry & Greg Philo, Israel and Palestine: Competing Histories
Karl Sabbagh, Palestine: A Personal History
Michel Warschawski, On the Border
Raja Shehadeh, Palestinian Walks
Judith Keshet, Checkpoint Watch: Testimonies from Occupied Palestine
Suad Amiry, Sharon and my Mother-in-law
Arthur Neslen, Occupied Minds: A Journey Through the Israeli Psyche
Anything and everything by Edward Said!
