FAQ

What is Blogged.com?

We created Blogged.com because we felt that bloggers who really put their minds and creativity into their writing deserve recognition. We wanted Blogged.com to showcase the talented bloggers across the blogosphere and serve not only as a blog directory, but also as a destination where their writings can be appreciated. Bloggers are the heart and soul of Blogged.com and it is their creativity and passion that inspired us to create this site.

Our blogs are reviewed, rated, and categorized by our editors, so you won't have to experience the frustration of filtering through blogs that are either spam, outdated, or irrelevant. You'll be able to find quality blogs that you would have unlikely found through a traditional blog search.

I'm new and need help navigating the site. Where can I get more information?

What do you consider a Blog?

A blog is a website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent post at the top of the main page to the older post towards the bottom that provide information, comments, and/or news on a subject(s).

How do I submit my Blog?

You can submit your blog here.

Are there types of Blogs you don't accept?

Yes. We do not accept pornographic blogs, blogs that promote illegal downloads, spam blogs, or materials of any kind that our editors find objectionable.

On what do you base these ratings?

Editor reviews are based on the following criteria: Frequency of Updates, Relevance of Content, Site Design, and Writing Style. Blogs are compared to other blogs within the same category. Blogs that have not been reviewed by an editor will receive a "first impression score" by our system, which evaluates similar criteria. Ratings are not meant to endorse, promote or advertise a blog. They are an unbiased critique by editors. Currently, we may only provide editorial reviews for English language blogs.

Who are these editors?

Our editors have a strong domain knowledge in various subjects and review blogs within their area of expertise. Editors then evaluate the blog and rank it against its peers.

How can I get an editor to reevaluate my score?

If 10 or more users give your blog a significantly different score than the editors' score, let us know that you want your blog reviewed again and we may do so. However, we cannot promise that the new score will be higher.

Are user ratings factored in to the overall score?

Once a blog has received a significant number of user ratings, the site will display both a user average score and the editor's score.
