"I'm Your Puppet. I Love It."

I'd like to dedicate this mid-80's Pet Shop Boys song to all the tools who got called out by Dan Bartlett today, when he said of our blogging counterparts on the Right:

That's what I mean by influential. I mean, talk about a direct IV into the vein of your support. It's a very efficient way to communicate. They regurgitate exactly and put up on their blogs what you said to them. It is something that we've cultivated and have really tried to put quite a bit of focus on.

I have made a lot of jokes in the past about dillweeds like John Hinderaker at Powerline getting his talking points by fax straight from Karl Rove's office. Now we have proof.

Poor, pointy-headed Conservatards. Not an original thought in their wee, thick noggins. Do you suppose they'll feel any pangs of ill-use to read that to Bartlett, they're just a bunch of idiot savants who can be taught to mouth the GOP party line on command? Probably not, as we have repeatedly established that self-awareness is not the Right's strong suit.

And it would go a long way to explaining Hugh Hewitt's reaction to Mitt Romney's "I Can Has Kennidy Comparizons?" speech today:

Mitt Romney's "Faith in America" speech was simply magnificent, and anyone who denies it is not to be trusted as an analyst. On every level it was a masterpiece. The staging and Romney's delivery, the eclipse of all other candidates it caused, the domination of the news cycle just prior to the start of absentee voting in New Hampshire on Monday-for all these reasons and more it will be long discussed as a masterpiece of political maneuver.

*Vomits into wastebasket*

Urp! Ugh. Excuse me. Whoa, that came over me rather suddenly.
