The Boiler Room is on an unbelievable roll lately.
After releasing John Talabot's recent set in Miami, and shortly after Death Grips manic SXSW set, the Boiler Room has another SXSW spot worth your attention.
Lunice's Austin set comes off a tad slow at the beginning, but things turn up to unbelievable degrees once Denino Farrar, Flatbush Zombies, and Mykki Blanco storm out. The finale culminates with TNGHT's remix of Kanye West's "Cold" and finally "Higher Ground" with the whole place ready to explode. See the whole thing below.

New Vampire Weekend - Diane Young and Step
After debuting a bevy of songs down at last week's SXSW, Vampire Weekend formally introduced the two tracks to the band's upcoming double A-Side single "Diane Young/Step." The first two official releases from the band's upcoming third LP Modern Vampires In The City have supporting videos as well. "Diane Young" is simply a car on fire, but, "Step" is a Manhattan-inspired lyric video fitting of a sweeter tune.
Check out both below and grab Modern Vampires In The City May 7 via XL Recordings.

Dead Leaf Echo - Birth
New York three-piece Dead Leaf Echo have been drifting around since beginning in 2006. Never gaining huge word-of-mouth nation-wide, the band was still highly regarded in their native city, and hit up SXSW in 2010 alongside a few more familiar acts like Japanther and A Place To Bury Strangers.
With another trip to Austin this week, fans will have another chance to witness one of shoegaze's best lesser-known acts. Wednesday, March 13, the band will be performing at Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar at 4 p.m. The next day, the band will be performing at Todd's Mansion at 6 p.m. Saturday, the group will be appearing at Buffalo Billiards with The Ocean Blue at 9 p.m. And next Sunday, finally, the band will be performing with The Warlocks at The Volstead at 2 p.m.
For a preview, check out the band's single "Birth" from their debut Thought & Language here.

Engine - Lands Of Sleep
LA's Engine will be one of the umpteenth millions of bands worthy of your time at this year's SXSW festival, combining modern American rock flare with spacey western springs. For a quick preview, check out the band's curious video for "Lands Of Sleep" and keep your ear to the ground for more news from the group.

Clipping - This Song Is a Drug Deal (Foot Village Remix)
Combining two unhinged forces - Los Angeles chaos-rap outfit Clipping and the drum apocalypse that is Foot Village - and we have a more blistering version of "This Song Is A Drug Deal." The pace is pushed to absolute extremes, which fits the Clipping angle fairly well.
Speaking of, the group will be performing at SXSW soon at The Terroreyes/The Needle Drop show, March 14 alongside BADBABNOTGOOD, Anamanaguchi, Antwon, and others. Check out the promo here and email RSVP@terroreyes.tv for a spot.

Monday Bears: New White Denim - Anvil Everything
I'd say welcome back, considering I took a slight hiatus during spring break (my last, ever), but I didn't really tell anyone so ... hey, here we are anyway.
Now that SXSW is officially done and I'm not receiving 18,000 e-mails a day about it, we can get back to the normal music flow. Austin natives White Denim, who released "Drug" off their upcoming album D a couple weeks ago, released their second single "Anvil Everything" earlier today. You can listen and grab the download below, and grab D May 24, via Downtown Music.

Wednesday Bears: Burial, Four Tet, and Thom Yorke's 12"
While I may not be paying too much attention to the 14,000 e-mails I get about SXSW (I can't be the only writer not there), I did catch Burial and Four Tet's collaboration with Thom Yorke. The two tracks on the trio's 12" are already well-sold out, but you can listen to them both here, via Gorilla vs. Bear.

Monday Bears: National on Fallon, Gaga confirms for Lollapalooza
With my spring vacation rolling in and the music blogo-sphere blowing up with everything SXSW, I decided to take a much anticipated week away from Bears and Bullets. I did so without informing anyone, yes, but I felt it was an unspoken agreement.
So, getting back into the groove of things (with a severe lack of anything good to report), I wanted to post The National's performance of "Terrible Love," from the group's upcoming May album High Violet on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon a couple weeks ago. The performance sheds a little light on way High Violet has quickly become one of this Spring's most heavily anticipated albums.
The National - Terrible Love (Live on Fallon)
In other news, another headliner has officially joined the Lollapalooza 2010 lineup. With a little more than two weeks remaining before the festival's official lineup is revealed (Tuesday, April 6), sources revealed earlier today that Lady Gaga has officially been confirmed to be one of the six headliners alongside the already confirmed Green Day and Strokes.
Only three (likely) headline spots remain, with The Arcade Fire and Soundgarden more than likely taking two of those. The sixth and final spot, however, remains up in the air.
More rumors to come.
