DDO Unlimited Reaches the Million Mark  [ Comment ]
Print News | Category: D&D; Online
Turbine, Inc. announced in a press release Friday that Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited (DDO Unlimited) has already attracted over one million new players since its September 2009 launch. The massive influx of new players has been across all of the various consumer plans available. DDO Unlimited’s paid subscriber base has more than doubled, while at the same time players are transacting in the new DDO store at three times the industry average, growing the franchise’s revenue over 500% since its launch in September.

“The response from players to DDO Unlimited has been nothing short of phenomenal,” said Jim Crowley, president and CEO of Turbine, Inc. “We’ve known all along how great this game is and by implementing an innovative new model that put the players in charge of how they pay and play DDO Unlimited, we’ve successfully expanded our reach and injected new energy into the game. Without a doubt, DDO Unlimited is a hit!”

“The launch of DDO Unlimited has been a huge success and has really taken the game to a new level,” said Fernando Paiz, Executive Producer of DDO Unlimited. “As we celebrate our 4th birthday, the game has never been better and we’re just getting started with more adventure packs, more store items, and other innovative features coming in the major updates we have planned throughout 2010.”

Second Major Update Now Out  [ Comment ]
Print News | Category: D&D; Online
To me, there's something intimidating about Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited. I think it's the fact that's it's so polished and fun, I feel like I'm cheating or stealing by having access to such a product for free. Hence, I'm never online as much as I'd like to be.

But here comes DDO with another major content update, releasing a new high-level adventure pack called "Dreaming Dark" and a slew of holiday themed items to compliment Festivult, the game's holiday season festival.

The game has an impressive amount of support behind it and they're constantly holding sales for the in-game store. If you haven't checked out the free-to-play version of DDO, you're missing out.

The full announcement lies below.

VN Global News: Aion Database Launches
Print News
Looking to find the hard details for one of the campaign quests in Aion? Or maybe you are seeking the lowdown on your level 50 Archon Tribunus's Sword? Look no further than IGN's Aion Tower website for all your game database needs. The site has just launched a super extensive game database for the MMO title, Aion.

Saying it's extensive might be an understatement. The site goes beyond listing everything you can find in the game. These include: items, recipes, quests, zones, NPCs, skills, maps, and everything else. It goes beyond that by providing 3D viewers, Grind Planer, Stigma Planner, Item comparisons, browser plugins, and so much more. This database is impressive.

Drop by today - Aion Database

No more delays, the beta is ending and release is approaching.

Eberron Unlimited Pushed Back to September  [ Comment ]
Print News | Category: D&D; Online
Fans waiting for the release of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited next week will have to hold their breath a little longer.

Turbine has just announced a revised release date of September 9, 2009.

"While we are very pleased with the performance of the game and are excited about the response from the players, we are committed to delivering a high-quality experience. We feel that more time is needed to deliver on this commitment. As a result, we are delaying our launch to ensure that we can support the massive increase in players that we are expecting and deliver them a free to play experience like none other."

While this may be true, it's always a little disappointing to see something anticipated move just out of reach.

The full announcement is on the official site.

Beta: Prizes for Stress Testing  [ Comment ]
Print News | Category: D&D; Online
Tonight, the 27th of July 2009, Turbine will be holding yet another stress test for it's Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited servers.

Only tonight, there's a catch.

Five lucky players who log in between 8pm and 11pm Eastern will be receiving an ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics card for their troubles.

Ten lucky second place winners will be taking home a poster signed by the Turbine team.

And all you have to do is log in. By my Pacific Time count, this starts in 30 minutes!
