It's not just a renewal of the marriage vows of the feisty and powerful lady senator and her husband of 40 years. It was also a gathering of the country's political and business elite. Senator Miriam Santiago and husband, former DILG undersecretary Narciso Santiago, renewed their marriage vows at the Manila Cathedral earlier today, witnessed by the most prominent figures in business and politics gathered under one roof in recent memory. Maid of honor was Heart Evangelista (don't know why) and best man was no less than President Noynoy Aquino. PNoy was chosen not only because he is the president, but because 40 years ago, his father, Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino, was one of the principal sponsors.
