Turkish club Fenerbahce have announced that Dani Guiza will return to his former side Getafe.

The 31-year-old striker missed most of last season after he was forced to have surgery on his Achilles tendon.

Guiza was only able to play 44 minutes of the 2010-11 Super Lig campaign and his club have confirmed a return to Spain is in the offing.

A statement on Fenerbahce's official website reads:

"Spanish striker Dani Guiza will return to the Primera Liga with Getafe after playing for Fenerbahce for the last three seasons.

"Fenerbahce would like to wish Guiza all the best for the future."

Guiza played for the Madrid-based club between 2005 and 2007 before joining Mallorca. He moved to Fenerbahce following a great showing with Spain during Euro 2008.
