ARTS FISSION is poised to become Asia's leading-edge contemporary dance company since its inception 12 years ago. The company holds the vision of rekindling human spirit by reinventing vernacular movements from urban culture into a new genre of Asian dance theatre. Artistic Director Angela Liong's critically acclaimed SHADOWHOUSES, a dance requiem to the 9/11 terror attacks was the first Singaporean act to open the Laokoon 2003 Festival at Europe's largest arts centre, the Kampnagel Hamburg in Germany. ARTS FISSION, known for its imaginative site-specific works premiered Urban Haiku in collaboration with the T'ang Quartet at the Old Truman Brewery during the Singapore Season 2005 in London, United Kingdom. The company has been actively initiating international co-productions with artists of diverse profiles on global and intercultural issues for the past decade. In 2004/05, the company presented 12 SMS Across the Mountains, a multimedia production involving 5 female Singapore dancers and 5 male Korean dancers, which comments on urban communication of modern Asia with Seoul's Dance Theatre CcadoO for the Seoul International Dance Festival and Singapore Arts Festival. The company just completed its Toronto premiere of Scarlet's Room in co-production with Canadian Princess Tiger Production in July 2006. Most recently, ARTS FISSION became the first Company-in-Residence at the Esplanade, one of the world's busiest arts centres to begin developing a new major work, The Locusts ...

This is another good episode of OTR that I didn't see on Youtube. Talking to Michael Landsberg this time is the evil genius himself, ECW founder Paul Heyman. This interview was conducted in 2002, not long after Stone Cold walked out on the company (he would eventually return at No Way Out in 2003). In this part of the interview Paul discusses the reasons for Austin's departure and whether Stone Cold was misused by WWE. He also discusses The Rock and why he is getting a tough time from fans (this was around the time the fans started booing The Rock which would eventually lead to his heel turn into Hollywood Rock in 2003). It's an interesting insight into Heyman's views on two of wrestling's biggest icons - Austin and Rock. Enjoy.

Kim Lorentzen Provides a Tour of Lancair's Redmond Facility As composite structures began to emerge in the late 1970s, Lance Neibauer's aviation interest quickly went from hobby to inspiration; having graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design, Neibauer believed he could develop a sleekly designed aircraft that optimized both performance and handling. The resulting Lancair 200 made its aviation debut in 1984, premiering for Oshkosh attendees the following year. Exhibiting such advancement, the Lancair 200 is now displayed at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Museum in Oshkosh, WI. The Lancair team became synonymous with innovative aircraft, including the Lancair 320/360, whose unprecedented design and beauty earned a display place at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 1993, Neibauer launched Pacific Aviation Composites USA (later renamed 'Columbia Aircraft'), eventually developing the type-certificated, piston single-engine Columbia 300. In February of 2003, Neibauer announced the sale of his kit company to Joseph Bartels. Since the sale, Bartels has led the company forward with Neibauers legacy, developing the new Lancair Evolution. The Men Who Killed Kennedy is a video documentary series by Nigel Turner that originally aired in 1988 in England with two one-hour segments about the John F. Kennedy assassination. The United States corporation, Arts & Entertainment Company, purchased the rights to the original two segments. Three one-hour segments were added in 1991. A sixth segment was added in 1995. Finally, three additional hourly segments were added by the History Channel in November 2003. The ninth segment, titled "The Guilty Men", directly implicated Lyndon B. Johnson. Within days, Johnson's widow, Lady Bird Johnson, more of his surviving associates, ex-President Jimmy Carter, and the lone, living Warren Commission commissioner and ex-President Gerald R. Ford immediately complained to the History Channel. They subsequently threatened legal action against Arts & Entertainment Company, owner of the History Channel. "The Guilty Men" segment was completely withdrawn by the History Channel. Also during the series, French prisoner Christian David named Lucien Sarti as one of three French criminals hired to carry out the assassination of Kennedy, when he was interviewed by author Anthony Summers. This claim is one of the most strongly investigated theories presented on the show.

Plot
The Company is composed of stories gathered from the dancers, choreographers, and office staff of the Joffrey Ballet. Most of the roles are played by company members. While a small subplot relates a love story between Campbell's character and a character played by James Franco, most of the movie focuses on the company as a whole, without any real star or linear plot. The many company stories woven together express the dedication and hard work that dancers must put in to their art, although they are seldom rewarded with fame or fortune.
Development
The Company was an idea of Campbell's for a long time – she began her career as a ballet dancer, having been a student at Canada's National Ballet School. Altman was reportedly reluctant to direct it but later agreed.
Reception
Elvis Mitchell called the film "enjoyably lithe and droll" and attributed a "great deal of the film's appeal" to McDowell's performance, while noting the film "doesn't stick with you as a whole." Eighty-three of the 120 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes rated the film as "fresh." Roger Ebert gave the film a 3 and-a-half stars out of four, and Slant Magazine called the movie the best movie of 2003. Box Office Mojo reported a worldwide box office of $6.4 million, less than half of its estimated $15 million budget.
