Weeds starlet Mary-Louise Parker is currently in negotiations for the final role in Universal's upcoming R.I.P.D., based on the graphic novel series by Peter Lenkov.
The film has already locked down Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Stephanie Szostak. The story centers around a cop killed in the line of duty who joins the Rest in Peace Department in order to track down his own killer.
Variety reports that Parker would would be playing the overseer of the undead division who explains the afterlife to Reynolds' character. Jodie Foster was originally considered for the role, but she eventually passed.
Robert Schwentke is directing the film which is set for release on June 28, 2013.
