Taking the same guts from DigiTech's game-changing Whammy pedal, the Ricochet removes the foot pedal, allowing space-strapped guitarists to experience the pitch-perfect Whammy experience in a much smaller enclosure. To replicate the foot pedal in real time, the Whammy Ricochet relies on a momentary switch, with controls that dictate the rise and fall times of the shift, to simulate a foot sweeping the effect. Players can use this momentary setting to replicate the use of a whammy bar, instantly switch to a bass guitar setting or to explore the outer limits of what a guitar can sound like. The momentary option can be changed to latching for players who have relied upon the Whammy's crystalline pitch shifting technology to play in different pitches. This is a boon for players who also use loopers, as it allows them to create intricate harmonies on the fly. Plus, holding the footswitch gives you acces to two Whammy mode: Classic and Chord for original computer glitch or smooth polyphonic tracking. A LED ladder occupies the left side of the Ricochet, for exact measurement of where your tone sits in the pitch shift, allowing visual players to make precision adjustments mid-shift. Best of all, since the Ricochet contains the same pitch-shifting algorithm as its bigger brother, the transition to the smaller box is seamless.

DigiTech Whammy
The Whammy pedal is a digital effects pedal designed for guitar and manufactured by DigiTech. The Whammy was the first widely known effects pedal that could do foot controlled pitch shifting effects. The pedal emulates sounds that a guitarist normally makes using the vibrato ("whammy") bar on the guitar, but with a greatly enhanced pitch range and without tuning hassles associated with traditional vibrato bars.
Use
Pitch shifters typically combine the workings of an octaver (which adds a synthesized sound one or two octaves higher or lower than the original) sound with pitch bends and harmony shifts. The Whammy digitally produces such sounds in a variety of preset settings and controlled by the foot pedal. A noteworthy user of the Whammy is Tom Morello, who with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave used the Whammy to create otherwise impossible effects. Besides Morello, Dimebag Darrell, Steve Vai, and Joe Satriani, and Jack White of The White Stripes are often mentioned as expert users.David Gilmour has been using one since his Pink Floyd song Marooned (instrumental) (The division Bell, 1994). Noel Gallagher of Oasis has also been seen using a Whammy IV in his pedalboard for the Dig Out Your Soul tour in 2008-2009. Recently Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine is also known to use two Whammy IV pedals whIle on tour for the album MBV. Other recent user have been Jimmy Page.

Taking the same guts from DigiTech's game-changing Whammy pedal, the Ricochet removes the foot pedal, allowing space-strapped guitarists to experience the pitch-perfect Whammy experience in a much smaller enclosure. To replicate the foot pedal in real time, the Whammy Ricochet relies on a momentary switch, with controls that dictate the rise and fall times of the shift, to simulate a foot sweeping the effect. Players can use this momentary setting to replicate the use of a whammy bar, instantly switch to a bass guitar setting or to explore the outer limits of what a guitar can sound like. The momentary option can be changed to latching for players who have relied upon the Whammy's crystalline pitch shifting technology to play in different pitches. This is a boon for players who also use loopers, as it allows them to create intricate harmonies on the fly. Plus, holding the footswitch gives you acces to two Whammy mode: Classic and Chord for original computer glitch or smooth polyphonic tracking. A LED ladder occupies the left side of the Ricochet, for exact measurement of where your tone sits in the pitch shift, allowing visual players to make precision adjustments mid-shift. AGRA. With the GST regime coming into force from July 1, both subsidised and non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) is going to cost more by Rs 26.35 and Rs 13.50 more per cylinder respectively, impacting lakhs of consumers ... The hike of Rs 13.50 coupled with reduced subsidy of Rs 12.85 would mean a double whammy for such consumers, as they would have to pay Rs 26.35 extra in July, as compared to the previous month ...
