The First Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians, usually referred to simply as First Thessalonians and often written 1 Thessalonians, is a book from the New Testament of the Christian Bible.
The first letter to the Thessalonians was likely the first of Paul's letters, probably written by the end of A.D. 52, making it, so far as is now known, the oldest extant Christian document.
Outline
The letter is usually outlined as follows:
Salutation and thanksgiving (1 Thes. 1:1-10)
Past interactions with the church (1 Thes. 2:1-20)
Regarding Timothy's visit (1 Thes. 3:1-13)
Specific issues within the church (1 Thes. 4:1-5:25)
Relationships among Christians (1 Thes. 4:1-12)
Mourning those who have died (1 Thes. 4:13-18)
Preparing for God's arrival (1 Thes. 5:1-11)
How Christians should behave (1 Thes. 5:12-25)
Closing salutation (1 Thes. 5:26-28)
Text
Silas and Timothy, gives thanks for the news about their faith and love; he reminds them of the kind of life he had lived while he was with them. Paul stresses how honorably he conducted himself, reminding them that he had worked to earn his keep, taking great pains not to burden anyone. He did this, he says, even though he could have used his status as an apostle to impose upon them.
Paul goes on to answer some concerns which have arisen in the church. Notably, there was some confusion regarding the fate of those who die before the arrival of the new kingdom. Many seem to have believed that an afterlife would only be available to those who lived to see the kingdom. Paul explains that the dead will be resurrected, and dealt with prior to those still living, who will greet the Lord in the air. (These verses are often mistakenly interpreted as describing the rapture (a much later doctrine), but in reality describe a welcoming party that greets a returning king just outside the city, and then returns to the city with the king.) Thus, he assures, there is no reason to mourn the death of fellow Christians, and to do so is to show a shameful lack of faith.
Unlike all subsequent Pauline epistles, 1 Thessalonians does not focus on justification by faith or questions of Jewish-gentile relations, themes that are covered in all other letters. Many scholars see this as an indication that this letter was written before the Epistle to the Galatians, where Paul formed and identified his positions on these matters.

The book of 1st Thessalonians is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). The Apostle Paul wrote it about 52-54 A.D. and it was one of his earliest written letters. The key personalities in this book are the Apostle Paul, Timothy, and Silas. Paul wrote this letter to strengthen and encourage the church in Thessalonica. To encourage and hearten the believers, Paul chose to emphasize the second coming of Jesus Christ. Throughout this letter, Paul focused on the principles of Faith, Hope, and Love.
• In chapters 1-3, the first principle is seen as Paul accentuates and commends them for their faithfulness to the Lord. He wrote, “thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs it work in you who believe” (2:13).
• In chapters 4-6, Paul highlights Love and Hope. He encourages the church to walk in love; to (excel still more). He then expounds on the return of Jesus and “the day of the Lord”. Paul teaches the church about the resurrection on the last day and that Christ will return in the clouds, this was exactly the encouragement that the church in Thessalonica needed. Lastly, before Paul finishes his letter he does not forget to add that they must pray constantly and “examine everything carefully’. In today’s world of lies, deception and carnival mirrors, everyone must apply these truths daily.

The First Epistle to the Thessalonians, usually referred to simply as First Thessalonians and often written 1 Thessalonians, is a book from the New Testament of the Christian Bible. The first letter to the Thessalonians was probably the first of Paul's letters, probably written by the end of AD 52, making it the oldest book in the New Testament.
Composition
Most New Testament scholars believe Paul the Apostle wrote this letter from Corinth, although information appended to this work in many early manuscripts (e.g., Codices Alexandrinus, Mosquensis, and Angelicus) state that Paul wrote it in Athens after Timothy had returned from Macedonia with news of the state of the church in Thessalonica (Acts 18:1–5; 1 Thes. 3:6). For the most part, the letter is personal in nature, with only the final two chapters spent addressing issues of doctrine, almost as an aside. Paul's main purpose in writing is to encourage and reassure the Christians there. Paul urges them to go on working quietly while waiting in hope for the return of Christ.

Audio Bible
Audio Bibles or spoken Bible are Bibles that were recorded in audio format. They provide the listener the ability to listen to the Scriptures without being required to look directly at written text. Benefits of audio Bibles are that they allow blind people personal access to the scriptures, and anybody can engage in other tasks while listening to the recordings which frees up time in the day to do other things. With this extra time, the listener can increase exposure to the Bible.
History
The first audio Bible (KJV in English language) was recorded and narrated by Alexander Scourby in the 1950s for the American Foundation of the Blind. It was first recorded on long play records, then 8-track player, cassette tape. The Bible in cassette tape was 72-hours long, and it took 72 cassette tapes to record the entire audio Bible.
From then on other audio Bibles were recorded on CDs, DVDs and other media devices.

Bible
The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, "the books") is a collection of texts sacred in Judaism and Christianity. It is a collection of scriptures written at different times by different authors in different locations. Jews and Christians consider the books of the Bible to be a product of divine inspiration or an authoritative record of the relationship between God and humans.
There is no single canonical "Bible"; many Bibles have evolved, with overlapping and diverging contents. The Christian Old Testament overlaps with the Hebrew Bible and the Greek Septuagint; the Hebrew Bible is known in Judaism as the Tanakh. The New Testament is a collection of writings by early Christians, consisting of narratives, letters and apocalyptic writings. Among Christian denominations there is some disagreement about the contents of the canon, primarily in the Apocrypha, a list of works that are regarded with varying levels of respect.
Attitudes towards the Bible also vary amongst Christian groups. Roman Catholics, Anglicans and Eastern Orthodox Christians stress the harmony and importance of the Bible and sacred tradition, while Protestant churches focus on the idea of sola scriptura, or scripture alone. This concept arose during the Protestant Reformation, and many denominations today continue to support the use of the Bible as the only source of Christian teaching.

The First Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians, usually referred to simply as First Thessalonians and often written 1 Thessalonians, is a book from the New Testament of the Christian Bible.
The first letter to the Thessalonians was likely the first of Paul's letters, probably written by the end of A.D. 52, making it, so far as is now known, the oldest extant Christian document.
Outline
The letter is usually outlined as follows:
Salutation and thanksgiving (1 Thes. 1:1-10)
Past interactions with the church (1 Thes. 2:1-20)
Regarding Timothy's visit (1 Thes. 3:1-13)
Specific issues within the church (1 Thes. 4:1-5:25)
Relationships among Christians (1 Thes. 4:1-12)
Mourning those who have died (1 Thes. 4:13-18)
Preparing for God's arrival (1 Thes. 5:1-11)
How Christians should behave (1 Thes. 5:12-25)
Closing salutation (1 Thes. 5:26-28)

Silas and Timothy, gives thanks for the news about their faith and love; he reminds them of the kind of life he had lived while he was with them. Paul stresses how honorably he conducted himself, reminding them that he had worked to earn his keep, taking great pains not to burden anyone. He did this, he says, even though he could have used his status as an apostle to impose upon them.
Paul goes on to answer some concerns which have arisen in the church. Notably, there was some confusion regarding the fate of those who die before the arrival of the new kingdom. Many seem to have believed that an afterlife would only be available to those who lived to see the kingdom. Paul explains that the dead will be resurrected, and dealt with prior to those still living, who will greet the Lord in the air. (These verses are often mistakenly interpreted as describing the rapture (a much later doctrine), but in reality describe a welcoming party that greets a returning king just outside the city, and then returns to the city with the king.) Thus, he assures, there is no reason to mourn the death of fellow Christians, and to do so is to show a shameful lack of faith.
Unlike all subsequent Pauline epistles, 1 Thessalonians does not focus on justification by faith or questions of Jewish-gentile relations, themes that are covered in all other letters. Many scholars see this as an indication that this letter was written before the Epistle to the Galatians, where Paul formed and identified his positions on these matters.

The book of 1st Thessalonians is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). The Apostle Paul wrote it about 52-54 A.D. and it was one of his earliest written letters. The key personalities in this book are the Apostle Paul, Timothy, and Silas. Paul wrote this letter to strengthen and encourage the church in Thessalonica. To encourage and hearten the believers, Paul chose to emphasize the second coming of Jesus Christ. Throughout this letter, Paul focused on the principles of Faith, Hope, and Love.
• In chapters 1-3, the first principle is seen as Paul accentuates and commends them for their faithfulness to the Lord. He wrote, “thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs it work in you who believe” (2:13).
• In chapters 4-6, Paul highlights Love and Hope. He encourages the church to walk in love; to (excel still more). He then expounds on the return of Jesus and “the day of the Lord”. Paul teaches the church about the resurrection on the last day and that Christ will return in the clouds, this was exactly the encouragement that the church in Thessalonica needed. Lastly, before Paul finishes his letter he does not forget to add that they must pray constantly and “examine everything carefully’. In today’s world of lies, deception and carnival mirrors, everyone must apply these truths daily

reading 聖典朗読（聖書、コーラン、ブッダの言葉、バガヴァッドギータなど） 言葉はその都度、意味と意図の確認が必要である。以下artによる独断メモ。 イエスを身にまとう：イエスが留まっていた状態（想念と自我意識に囚われず自由であること）になること。 神の子やキリスト：「一切衆生の本性」のこと。仏教では「仏性」。 これらは、ナザレのイエス個人を指すのではない。イエスの言葉「私（人が本性に留まっている状態）は門である」「私を通らなければ天の国に入れない」なども「自我意識・想念を払った状態を通って」の意。 人の子：肉体意識と自我意識にしがみついて信じ込んでいるいわゆる凡人の普通の状態のこと。 神殿・神の宮：私たちの精神or魂のこと。本来「肉体意識・自我意識」を完全に追い払っておくべき場所と語られている。（想念や自我意識のことを「罪や汚れ」、それに捕われている状態のことが「偶像崇拝」「淫行」。この意味では悟っていない人はすべて偶像崇拝者・淫婦） イスラエル、シオンなど聖地：私たちの内にある精神の根底・本性。そこに留まる事を仏教では「悟りや涅槃」に入る、聖書では「天の国」に入ると表現する。つまり実際には到達したり変化が必要なものではなく、すでに常にあるが埋もれているものを再び見出して完全に留まること。 魂：意味範囲がその時々で変わり、心の働きを含む場合【広義】と、本性のみを指す【狭義】場合があるのでその都度注意が必要。 いずれにせよ宗教やスピリチュアル系でよく聞かれる「魂の成長」といった類の言葉は、肉体意識と自我意識を払い切れていない表面的な解釈から出てくるので、そのような解釈で進むと真の意味をつかみそこなう。（間違いだとは言わないが、この場合魂を、精神や心というような意味で使っているので、「精神、心」の成長といった程度の意味でしかなく、イエスやブッダの言葉の真の意図からは外...

イエスを身にまとう：イエスが留まっていた状態（想念と自我意識に囚われず自由であること）になること。
神の子やキリスト：「一切衆生の本性」のこと。仏教では「仏性」。
これらは、ナザレのイエス個人を指すのではない。イエスの言葉「私（人が本性に留まっている状態）は門である」「私を通らなければ天の国に入れない」なども「自我意識・想念を払った状態を通って」の意。
人の子：肉体意識と自我意識にしがみついて信じ込んでいるいわゆる凡人の普通の状態のこと。
神殿・神の宮：私たちの精神or魂のこと。本来「肉体意識・自我意識」を完全に追い払っておくべき場所と語られている。（想念や自我意識のことを「罪や汚れ」、それに捕われている状態のことが「偶像崇拝」「淫行」。この意味では悟っていない人はすべて偶像崇拝者・淫婦）
イスラエル、シオンなど聖地：私たちの内にある精神の根底・本性。そこに留まる事を仏教では「悟りや涅槃」に入る、聖書では「天の国」に入ると表現する。つまり実際には到達したり変化が必要なものではなく、すでに常にあるが埋もれているものを再び見出して完全に留まること。
魂：意味範囲がその時々で変わり、心の働きを含む場合【広義】と、本性のみを指す【狭義】場合があるのでその都度注意が必要。
いずれにせよ宗教やスピリチュアル系でよく聞かれる「魂の成長」といった類の言葉は、肉体意識と自我意識を払い切れていない表面的な解釈から出てくるので、そのような解釈で進むと真の意味をつかみそこなう。（間違いだとは言わないが、この場合魂を、精神や心というような意味で使っているので、「精神、心」の成長といった程度の意味でしかなく、イエスやブッダの言葉の真の意図からは外れる）
実際には魂とは、本質的には、すべてに満ちているものであり、個々に分かれているものでもなく、成長や退化もない。
要するに、一切衆生・私たちは、本来そのような存在であるが、
想念（聖書では「罪」「悪魔・サタン」と表現）や自我意識にとらわれているために、隠されている（聖書では「神から離れている状態」、仏教的には「迷い、無明の状態」と表現）だけである。
この執拗なとらわれが、私たちの無意識の領域（存在のかなり深いところまで）までこびりついてしまっているので、やっかいであるが、崩すのは不可能ではない。しかし「ただ想念を払って留まればいい」という知識を頭に入れたり試したりするだけでは無意味。
それぞれの人がその性質や傾向（習癖・業）に従って、それぞれに合った本性・源を再発見して留まるコツをつかんでいくよう探求する必要がある。
イエスやブッダの言葉、聖典などは、ある意識レベルから世界や状態を捉えて発せられた言葉が多いので、解釈する側もそのようなレベルで捉える必要がある。
宗教界・書籍・ネット上などで一般に普及しているのは、語り手の次元からの解釈ではなく、肉体次元かせいぜい心次元から捉えた解釈で、一時的な慰めを説くための聖典「利用」のようだ。
様々な道は様々な性質にしたがって選ばれる。中には表面的に美しく見えてその実、真理に反する道もあり、大多数はそこに生きている。
・・・今回はここまで、独断と駄文失礼。
中世のマイスター・エックハルト（エックハルト・トールではない）の解釈がまともなようなので、それをもとにartが講読した動画はチャンネルで再生リストを検索されたし。(2014秋より公開開始)
