Lots of headlines from Blizzard this week surrounding its long-in-development action-RPG sequel, Diablo III: the real money auction house, always-on Internet connection requirement, beta preview, and more. Unfortunately, the one thing Blizzard didn't give us was a firm release date.

So Diablo III may or may not make it onto your hard drive by the end of this year. Hey, it's already been a decade since Diablo II shipped, what's another few months? And you can always wait in style, courtesy of FilePlanet's Wallpaper Wednesday. Featuring three Diablo III Wallpapers, one from Blizzard itself and two created by fans, these images will keep your monitor looking prepared for that fateful day when you can finally score a fresh fix of kill-loot-equip-repeat.

Deus Ex New Vision Mod

In anticipation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, many a PC gamer has returned to the Warren Specter and Harvey Smith cyberpunk classic that started it all. And while that trip down nostalgia lane may be fun, it sure ain't pretty. The 10-year-old Deus Ex is showing its age, but lucky for us, there's a mod for that.

On oldie but a goodie, the Deus Ex New Vision Mod enhances each and every texture in the game's dystopian future setting and supports all those other fantastic Deus Ex mods you're already playing with. And New Vision is perfect for those who missed Deus Ex the first time around but would like to get up to speed (and see what all the fuss is about) in time for the August 23 launch of Human Revolution.

Half-Life 2 Expansion Mods

As engrossing as it may be, the Half-Life universe is full of unanswered questions. Sick of waiting on Valve to provide answers with Episode 3, a number of modders have taken it upon themselves and put the Source Engine to work. The result is a digital treasure trove of fan-made single-player adventures, and FilePlanet has gathered three of the very best to help you Expand the Half-Life Universe.

Discover why aliens invaded by exploring a Combine-controlled island in Minerva: Metastasis; Uncover the secret behind Half-Life's most popular bug infestation as Opposing Force's Corporal Shepard in the action-packed Awakening; and find out if you have what it takes to reset a timeline gone awry in the alternative reality of Causality Effect. Who knows, once you're finished with all three adventures, it might finally be time for Episode 3.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion New Fantasies Mods

Modders love them some Oblivion, and if there's one thing they enjoy adding to Betheda's open-world RPG, it's babes. Many times, these swashbuckling sexpots are pulled straight from other fantasy universes, and FilePlanet has gathered six files that will bring some familiar fantasies to your Oblivion experience.

Featuring body types, races, outfits, and armors based on Final Fantasy XI, Lineage II, and Shaiya designs, these six mods will go a long way in helping you spruce up Bethesda's lackluster character visuals. Download the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion New Fantasies Mods today and re-experience the RPG classic.

And while we're on the topic of Oblivion, FileSpy would be remiss if we didn't direct your attention to the hilarious mash-up of mods that produced The Silly Adventures of Mr. Mochi. Watch it, love it, and hope for another adventure soon.

Anime-Inspired Fallout 3 Mods

After you add a little sex appeal (okay, a lot of sex appeal) to Oblivion's characters, why not do the same with Bethesda's other major open-world RPG franchise, Fallout? FilePlanet dug up a little something extra this time around, with a batch of Fallout 3 Mods that will transform Bethesda's sci-fi epic into an anime adventure like no other.

Enormous eyes, school-girl outfits, big guns, and, well... over-sized everything. All the elements you would expect to find in a Japanese anime can now be incorporated into the Capital Wasteland courtesy of these five Anime-Inspired Fallout 3 Mods.

That wraps up another week of FileSpy. As always, thanks to Justin, Paul, et al at FilePlanet -- not to mention all you modders out there -- for doing the heavy lifting and giving PC gamers everywhere ways to expand the titles they love and all new games to fall in love with.
