Is this the same Saeb Erekat who resigned after being exposed by revelations in the Palestine Papers?

And is his boss Mahmoud Abbas who's term expired on 9 January 2009, but who unilaterally extended it for another year and continues in office even after that deadline expired? Is this the same Mahmoud Abbas who is the de facto President-for-Life who promises not to seek re-election but cancelled the scheduled elections and then declared and subsequently cancelled new elections?

Obama seems to be 'trapped' himself -by what would be interesting to know. Surely he was aware of the 'nets' lurking to keep him contained before he took on the job? But it is great to see so much dialogue in the world replacing what in the past could well have been aggression; irrespective of why this is occurring.
