I went back to the archives once in a while for a few reasons 1) pick out the right image to fit a competition subject 2) process and post images which I deem postable on second visit 3) print images to contribute to a charity 4) send to friends per request on a particular subject ... cheers ;-)

I go back about three or four times a year and look at the old negs. Sometimes I discover that my monitor has gone south or perhaps OS 10.6.x has messed up the calibration so I go back and see what the new calibration has done to my recent work. This happened today. Been 18 months since my last calibration. So I have images that are hosed since Jan 2010. Most of them will not need adjustments. But some of you folks must have similar problems because your images looked good on my out of whack monitor :-)

I use Spyder3 Pro to calibrate my LCDs at least once the first time I acquire it; The Mac monitors are the better ones, even my trusted Samsung can't match it in color depth and resolution; it's almost 3D like and the photo just jumps out at you; I only have a MacPro laptop but may migrate to a full blown Mac desktop next time I upgrade; cheers ;-)
