Video of the decent, yet very nice (decent for the fairmont; yes, yes, that is how upscale this hotel is) tower elevators at the Fairmont Hotel. These elevators don't have any classic leveling, but they level with the floor very nicely. I mean, I was SO amazed at how well these elevators level with the floor. The leveling is perfect. This is the collection of professional and amateur videos, collected from YouTube, and produced in iMovie 09 with over 60 clips. The video ranks cities by the visual impact of their skyline. Reference table is available at www.emporis.com Each building with 12 or more floors in the city proper is assigned points based on its floor count (see the table on emporis.com). The point total for each city is calculated automatically. Calculation does not include TV towers, masts, bridges, or other structures. The listing actually puts Guangzhou on the tenth position, and Dubai on eleventh, but this will change shortly, after Burj Dubai's official opening. List of cities goes as followed: 10-Dubai, 9-Bangkok, 8-Tokyo, 7-Shanghai, 6-Seoul, 5-Sao Paulo, 4-Chicago, 3-Singapore, 2-New York City, 1-Hong Kong All footage is either amateur or pro video from airplanes, helicopters & other vertical moving vehicles/objects, so you only see the city from above, and through a moving angle. Video of the nice and old elevators at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. These elevators still have the original call buttons. This have a nice ride quality and the exterior doors on every floor except L and LL (Lobby & Lower Lobby/Level) are REAL wood. You can tell because you can hear that when the door opens and closes, the sound is quite a bit different. Aqua Residential Tower, Chicago en.wikipedia.org Aqua is an 86-story mixed-use residential skyscraper in the Lakeshore East development in downtown Chicago. Designed by a team led by Jeanne Gang, the building is the tallest in the world to have a woman as lead architect, at 859 ft (262 m). It includes one level of parking below ground. The building's eight-story, 140000 sq ft (13000 m2) base is topped by a 82550 sq ft (7669 m2) terrace with gardens, gazebos, pools, hot tubs, a walking/running track and a fire pit. Each floor will cover approximately 16000 sq ft (1500 m2). The Aqua was named the Emporis Skyscraper Award 2009 skyscraper of the year and was shortlisted in 2010 for the biannual International Highrise Award. Sustainability was an important factor in Aqua's design. Gang and her team refined the terrace extensions to maximize solar shading, and other sustainable features will include rainwater collection systems and energy-efficient lighting. Riding the fastest elevator I've ever ridden on at the TD Canada Trust Building (110 Yonge Street). These elevators are INSANE FAST!!!!!!! From 9 to 17, that's where it really showed it's speed! It takes forever to accelerate and decelerate! It lasts full speed for 6.8-7 seconds from 18 (350ft) to G!!!!! Could it be the fastest or the 2nd fastest in the world? I don't know! There could be some elevators out in the world right now not telling that they have the fastest elevators in the city, country, or the world! :D UPDATE: On the TOBuilt Page for this building, it says it's a heritage site. Now I wonder why it is? =3 I GUESS THE ELEVATORS!!!!!! 8D UPDATE 2: This elevator looks very similar to a Mitsubishi and a Toshiba! Now, I wonder if Toshiba was involved with the installation? =D This building if it had ceiling heights of 15ft, it would 24 floors high. Dundee place has 30 floors and it has 15ft per floor with the exception of the lobby. 17 floors of TD Canada Trust is equivalent to a 24 story office building that has a ceiling height of 15ft per floor.
