He has been a member of the first Greek Amateur Astronomy Club (OEEA) since 1993. In 2000 he became a founding member and co-founder of the Hellenic Astronomy League, the successor to the OEEA. He worked in educational and public outreach programmes at the National Observatory of Athens in the 1990s. From 1998–2001 he worked as a translator for physics and astronomy articles for the Greek edition of Scientific American. In 2001 he was hired by the Research Center for Astronomy of the Academy of Athens as an IT administrator and education and public outreach (EPO) officer. He has participated in the organisation of several scientific conferences, mostly astronomical and space related, and he organised the CAP2007 conference in Athens. Over the years he has organised several public outreach events (such as Sun–Earth days, lectures and more). He worked with ESA/Hubble and ESO ePOD in translating and producing voice-overs for the Hubble 15 Years of Discovery and the Eyes on the Skies DVDs. He provides technical support and graphic/web design services for research papers and PR activities.
