I appeared on the Leeza Gibbons Show with 3 other crossdressers, one with his wife, my wife Marie and with my oldest daughter Leighann in the audience. Other supporters were in the audience including Dr. Peggy Rudd who wrote the book titled "My Husband Wears My Clothes", Kimberly the publisher of Cross Talk magazine and 3 female impersonators from the Queen Mary nightclub that used to exist on Ventura Blvd. This was another effort by Tri-Ess National and it's local Alpha chapter of which I was a member to educate the public about what cross dressers and their families are really like and hopefully gain more acceptance and understanding. Leeza did a great job doing just that and we considered the show a success.
Not long after Darlie Routier was convicted of capital murder and sentence to death by lethal injection The Leeza Gibbons Show aired a 2 part series - 1998. What follows is the Part 1 episode. Special guest: Barbara Davis, author of Precious Angels, and Rina Way, one of Routier's jurors.

While walking with James to Best Buy on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, my heart broke seeing Leeza sitting on the sidewalk "flying a sign". Leeza is 22 years-old and has been homeless in New York City for two months.
Leeza panhandles to survive. She is trying to save up her money to get back to the West Coast.

Leeza
Leeza is an NBC and syndicated daytime television talk show. It premiered on June 14, 1993 as John & Leeza from Hollywood, hosted by John Tesh and Leeza Gibbons. Tesh left the show after seven months, and on January 17, 1994, the program was retitled Leeza, and Gibbons became the sole host remaining in that capacity throughout the remainder of its run.
The original format centered on celebrity news and interviews, but once Tesh left the show it became more of a traditional television talk show.
The show ran on NBC between 1993 and 1999, showing on other stations in markets where the local NBC affiliate pre-empted it in favor of other programming. NBC dropped Leeza in favor of Later Today and the show aired its final episode there on September 3, 1999. It continued for one additional season in syndication, finally coming to an end September 8, 2000. It was taped at Paramount Studios on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California, and was produced by Gibbons' production company and Paramount Television (Network for NBC run, Domestic for syndicated run).

Leeza Gibbons Show 1995 My Husband Wears My Clothes
I appeared on the Leeza Gibbons Show with 3 other crossdressers, one with his wife, my wife Marie and with my oldest daughter Leighann in the audience. Other supporters were in the audience including Dr. Peggy Rudd who wrote the book titled "My Husband Wears My Clothes", Kimberly the publisher of Cross Talk magazine and 3 female impersonators from the Queen Mary nightclub that used to exist on Ventura Blvd. This was another effort by Tri-Ess National and it's local Alpha chapter of which I was a member to educate the public about what cross dressers and their families are really like and hopefully gain more acceptance and understanding. Leeza did a great job doing just that and we considered the show a success.

Leeza is 22 years-old and has been homeless in New York City for two months. Leeza panhandles to survive. She is trying to save up her money to get back to the West Coast. The night before she slept outside in the front of a church. .
