A glimpse of François Pinault's Punta della Dogana and Palazzo Grassi Contemporary Art Centers
The spectacular Punta dell Dogana former Customs Building, and the Palazzo Grassi, the famed 18th century Palace in Venice, Italy, have been renovated by architect Tadao Ando, and house part of François Pinault's contemporary art collection, and Art Foundation. A glimpse of the art exhbited in the two sites reveals works by David Hammons, Felix Gonzales-Torres, Rachel Whiteread, Maurizio Cattelan, Luc Tuymans, Hwang Yong Ping, Richard Price, and Peter Fischli and David Weiss in the Punta Della Dogana Art Center. Urs Fisher's "Bad Timing Lamb Chop!" outdoors sculpture can be seen in front of the Palazzo Grassi with view on the Grand Canal, and works by Richard Gober, Martin Kippenberger and Kai Althoff are briefly shown indoors.
