Modified Shuko (Hand Spikes) and Ashiko (Foot Spikes). The metal work on the back of the Shuko is to relieve pressure from the back edge of the hand claw. The pressure is generated when the spikes is against the object in which you are scaling.

An ashiko is a kind of drum shaped like a truncated cone and meant to be played with bare hands. The drum is played throughout sub-Saharan Africa and the Americas. The Ashiko has three primary tones, bass, tone and slap, just like the Djembe. Ashiko is the male version of djembe.
The Aṣíkò (Ashiko) drum, played by a skilled musician, can make a variety of tones, similar to the dundun or talking drums of Nigeria. It is associated with a whole genre of music of the same name and adherents of the Christian religion, as practiced in Nigeria.
