Hodgson finishes Hull's hot streak
Hull FC 20 Huddersfield 34: Amid Huddersfield's array of young back-line talent, the name of David Hodgson has sometimes been overlooked this season. Now a relative veteran of 29, he left Humberside in his teens to pursue his career elsewhere and he was instrumental yesterday in ending his hometown club's unbeaten run at six games.

Warrington, the Challenge Cup holders for the past two years, have been drawn to play Wigan, the Super League champions, in this season's quarter-finals. The draw last night kept the two Humberside teams apart, with Hull at home to Leeds and Hull KR at St Helens. Huddersfield are at Castleford in the other tie, to be played over the weekend of 23 and 24 July.
