C’est la trompettiste dont tout le monde parle en ce moment. Après un premier album multi-récompensé, Airelle Besson revient avec un quartet trompette + voix original et tout à fait étonnant.
Lauréate des « Victoires de La Musique Jazz » et de l’ « Académie du Jazz » en 2015, artiste résidente du festival de Coutances, musicienne, trompettiste, compositeur et chef d’orchestre, elle est tout à la fois. Après un premier album encensé avec Nelson Veras, Airelle Besson a décidé de monter il y a cinq ans un quartette voix, trompette, piano électrique et batterie. Une formule originale audacieuse et swingante et un titre phare « Radio-One » dans lequel elle se souvient avec bonheur de son travail avec Metronomy.

Syd Barrett
Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett (6 January 1946 – 7 July 2006) was an English musician, composer, singer, songwriter, and painter. Best known as a founder member of the band Pink Floyd, Barrett was the lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter in its early years and is credited with naming the band. Barrett was excluded from Pink Floyd in April 1968 after David Gilmour took over as their new guitarist, and was briefly hospitalized amid speculation of mental illness.
Barrett was musically active for less than ten years. With Pink Floyd, he recorded four singles, their debut album (and contributed to the second one), and several unreleased songs. Barrett began his solo career in 1969 with the single "Octopus" from his first solo album, The Madcap Laughs (1970). The album was recorded over the course of a year with five different producers (Peter Jenner, Malcolm Jones, David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Barrett himself). Nearly two months after Madcap was released, Barrett began working on his second and final album, Barrett (1970), produced by Gilmour and featuring contributions from Richard Wright. He went into self-imposed seclusion until his death in 2006. In 1988, an album of unreleased tracks and outtakes, Opel, was released by EMI with Barrett's approval.

Calvin Harris
Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), better known by his stage name Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter, record producer, recording artist and remixer. His debut album, I Created Disco, was released in 2007 and was the precursor to his top-10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". In 2009, Harris released his second studio album, Ready for the Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and earned a gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry within two months of release. Its lead single, "I'm Not Alone", became his first number one on the UK Singles Chart.
Harris rose to international prominence in 2012 with the release of his third studio album, 18 Months. Topping the UK charts, the album became his first to chart on the Billboard 200 in the US, reaching number 19. All eight of the album's singles; "Bounce", "Let's Go", "We'll Be Coming Back", "Sweet Nothing", "Drinking from the Bottle", "I Need Your Love", "Thinking About You" and "Feel So Close", along with "We Found Love" reached the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart.

Lauréate des « Victoires de La Musique Jazz » et de l’ « Académie du Jazz » en 2015, artiste résidente du festival de Coutances, musicienne, trompettiste, compositeur et chef d’orchestre, elle est tout à la fois. Après un premier album encensé avec Nelson Veras, Airelle Besson a décidé de monter il y a cinq ans un quartette voix, trompette, piano électrique et batterie. Une formule originale audacieuse et swingante et un titre phare « Radio-One » dans lequel elle se souvient avec bonheur de son travail avec Metronomy.

"Their name may suggest that they descent from the northern Eurasia, however they have nothing to do with that part of the world. The Iowa originated band which was formed in 2003 by the multi-instrumentalist Parker Griggs, is dedicated to play heavy blues rock since their early days. Produced by Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) and released by Alive Records, it was inevitable that Radio Moscow would include garage and psychedelic elements in it's sound. These characteristics in combination with the bluesy orientation of the band create an album that unfortunately did not get the recognition it deserves.
The introductory one minute song which actually can be summed up as 'a pandemonium of wha-wha guitars', describes the majority of the sound you will hear in the rest of the album. Moscow pay tribute to their influences from the 60's as psychedelia is obvious and immense. Take for example "Whatever Happened" and "Frustrating Sound": the former is a fusion of heavy blues with some well crafted riffs while the latter seems like a track composed by the greatest trio of Cream which for a strange reason failed to be included in one of their masterpieces.
Although Dan Auerbach is known for many things rather than his production skills, he manages very successfully to garnish Moscow's sound with a garage aura that blends perfectly with the overall picture. "Luckydutch" which is one of the finest tracks of the record is a proof for this. Heavy influenced by virtuoso Jimi Hendrix, Parker follows his hero's temperament and delivers strident riffs backed-up with some stiff vocals. It is also worth exploring the instrumental "Lickskillet" which starts with a southern style and quickly turns out to be an insane jam song.

C’est la trompettiste dont tout le monde parle en ce moment. Après un premier album multi-récompensé, Airelle Besson revient avec un quartet trompette + voix original et tout à fait étonnant.
Lauréate des « Victoires de La Musique Jazz » et de l’ « Académie du Jazz » en 2015, artiste résidente du festival de Coutances, musicienne, trompettiste, compositeur et chef d’orchestre, elle est tout à la fois. Après un premier album encensé avec Nelson Veras, Airelle Besson a décidé de monter il y a cinq ans un quartette voix, trompette, piano électrique et batterie. Une formule originale audacieuse et swingante et un titre phare « Radio-One » dans lequel elle se souvient avec bonheur de son travail avec Metronomy.
Une réussite absolue !
