Plot :
Chenchu Lakshmi is rhythmic blend of mythology and folklore depicting the unique avatar of Goddess Lakshmi in the tribal form and her triumph over the agression of Lord Narasimha. The ballet with its milieu of melodious music, vivid backdrops and vibrant costumes promises to be a delight for music and dance enthusiasts alike. The nature of the Narasimha avatar is that of divine anger and hence is very aggressive.
Narasimha puts an end to the rakshasa Hiranyakasyapu but the other Gods and Goddesses are unable to calm him in his aggressive form so they urge Goddess Lakshmi to assume the form of Chenchu Lakshmi to placate him. The Goddess is then born as a tribal girl in the Chenchu tribe and uses her charms to captivate the Lord and pacify his agression.

Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah was the backbone behind the karamchedu atrocity. In karamchedu madiga's were brutally murdered by Kammas, under the influence of Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah. After a point of time Peoples War decided to take revenge on Chenchu Ramaiah. However the dominant community in Peoples War was not part of it, rather it was Yesanna (mala) led the crowd, and in this team Kaleikuri Prasad was also part of it. In this team Ramakrishna was also part, however he was asking all to back out from the killing. Then its Yesanna took his gun and killed Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah.
After few years Yesanna was encountered and Ramakrishna was promoted to a central committee member and in charge of the Andhra-Orissa border committee of the Maoists.

Chenchu people
The Chenchus are a designated Scheduled Tribe in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Odisha. They are an aboriginal tribe whose traditional way of life has been based on hunting and gathering. The Chenchus speak the Chenchu language, a member of the Dravidian language family. In general, the Chenchu relationship to non-tribal people has been largely symbiotic. Some Chenchus have continued to specialize in collecting forest products for sale to non-tribal people. Many Chenchus live in the dense Nallamala forest of Andhra Pradesh.
The Chenchus are referred to as one of the Primitive Tribal Groups that are still dependent on forests and do not cultivate land but hunt for a living. Caste Hindus living among them rent land from the Chenchus and pay a portion of the harvest. Dalits also settled among them with the help of the Chenchus and learned agriculture from them, and the nomadic Banjara herders who graze their cattle in the forest also have been allotted land there. The Chenchus have responded unenthusiastically to government efforts to induce them to take up farming themselves.

How/Why Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah was murdered? (Karamchedu atrocity)
Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah was the backbone behind the karamchedu atrocity. In karamchedu madiga's were brutally murdered by Kammas, under the influence of Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah. After a point of time Peoples War decided to take revenge on Chenchu Ramaiah. However the dominant community in Peoples War was not part of it, rather it was Yesanna (mala) led the crowd, and in this team Kaleikuri Prasad was also part of it. In this team Ramakrishna was also part, however he was asking all to back out from the killing. Then its Yesanna took his gun and killed Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah. After few years Yesanna was encountered and Ramakrishna was promoted to a central committee member and in charge of the Andhra-Orissa border committee of the Maoists. Plot :
Chenchu Lakshmi is rhythmic blend of mythology and folklore depicting the unique avatar of Goddess Lakshmi in the tribal form and her triumph over the agression of Lord Narasimha. The ballet with its milieu of melodious music, vivid backdrops and vibrant costumes promises to be a delight for music and dance enthusiasts alike. The nature of the Narasimha avatar is that of divine anger and hence is very aggressive.
Narasimha puts an end to the rakshasa Hiranyakasyapu but the other Gods and Goddesses are unable to calm him in his aggressive form so they urge Goddess Lakshmi to assume the form of Chenchu Lakshmi to placate him. The Goddess is then born as a tribal girl in the Chenchu tribe and uses her charms to captivate the Lord and pacify his agression.

Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah was the backbone behind the karamchedu atrocity. In karamchedu madiga's were brutally murdered by Kammas, under the influence of Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah. After a point of time Peoples War decided to take revenge on Chenchu Ramaiah. However the dominant community in Peoples War was not part of it, rather it was Yesanna (mala) led the crowd, and in this team Kaleikuri Prasad was also part of it. In this team Ramakrishna was also part, however he was asking all to back out from the killing. Then its Yesanna took his gun and killed Daggubati Chenchu Ramaiah.
After few years Yesanna was encountered and Ramakrishna was promoted to a central committee member and in charge of the Andhra-Orissa border committee of the Maoists.
