I wanted Half Our Deen to be alternative to all the other Muslim Marriage websites. One of the things I dislike about these sites is that they misuse the word "free". Many Muslim Matrimonial websites will claim "free" on their website but the only thing that is free is that you can put up a free profile, which is completely useless because you are not allowed to contact anyone and nobody is allowed to contact you until you cough up $29 to $44 a month. They trick you into registering so they can increase the "registered" member count, which is deceiving because unless both you and person are paying their hefty fees, no one can contact each other. With Half Our Deen, I'm upfront about the price and therefore, there is no bait and switch tactic like the other guys. There is no fake profile, chat rooms, sending flirts, and any of that nonsense you see with the other sites. Instead, the site is completely private because the only people that should know you're looking are people that are looking too. The site has loads of cool features and introduces a unique method of helping people find each other. Finally, the site is affordable ($9 to month or $5/month if you pay for the whole year upfront).
