: 3rd Annual Tar Sands Healing Walk

Crane Lake Park
We, the Keepers of the Athabasca, are calling on allies and supporters to join us on a healing walk. We are asking all community members of the Tar Sands regions and those in the path of tar sands infrastructure (pipelines and refineries) and all supporters to come out and walk for the healing of the land and our sacred waters.

The walk will be led by First Nation and Metis elders and community members but we are hoping that our allies will come out to walk beside them as supporters as well.

: Japan Dolphins Day 2012 - Calgary, Canada

Please help celebrate Japan Dolphins Day 2012 in Calgary, Canada.

On August 31, 2012 rallies and peaceful protests will be held in front of Japanese Embassies and Consulates worldwide. The events are to protest the September 1 start of the annual Taiji dolphin cull as seen in the Academy Award-winning documentary The Cove. The message is positive: Japan, let the dolphins live and be free!
