City News was initially launched in 1989 and re-launched on August 7, 2003. This revamp into a full colour news magazine was a response to the transformation of inner Brisbane during the past 15 years, with the growth of residential apartments, the rebirth of the South Bank precinct, the emergence of a “coffee culture” and a new professional and corporate spirit driven by population and economic growth.
