Established in 1919, the Hornsby and Upper North Shore Advocate is the only weekly community newspaper covering the Hornsby region. It captures the vitality and vibrancy of the area, and reports on serious issues and events that affect residents.

The paper serves a geographically diverse and affluent area, from Turramurra on the North Shore, across to the hills districts of Cherrybrook and Pennant Hills, then north through Hornsby to Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River.
