Redcliffe and Bayside Herald
The Redcliffe & Bayside Herald has been serving the area since 1934 and circulates less than one hour's drive from Brisbane's city heart. The Redcliffe area is separated from Brisbane by Hays Inlet and is situated on a true peninsula. Redcliffe is linked to Brisbane by the Houghton Highway, one of the longest bridges in the Southern Hemisphere. Fishing and prawning are the principal primary industries with mostly light industries located at Clontarf and Kippa-Ring. Tourism is also an important industry to the Redcliffe peninsula with many tourists visiting each year. The area is rich in natural resources, with many sandy beaches and picturesque parks. From Redcliffe you can access Moreton Island or at Deception Bay you can sail down the Caboolture River.
