Recently, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Alex Pettyfer in the YH Studio, and I have to say, although he plays Number Four in his new film, I Am Number Four, he is surely going to rank high amongst the Number Ones in Hollywood.

U.K.-born Alex comes from a family of entertainers, with his father being an actor and his mother a model; his half-brother James is a top-ranked tennis player (an entertainer of sorts!). Alex began his career as a child model doing commercials before he was discovered by Ralph Lauren himself at only 8 years old! (His mother threw away Lauren's card, and it wasn’t until later in life when Alex realized who it had actually belonged to.)

What’s that sound?

Well, if you can actually hear the sound of fluorescent colors and the Rubik's Cube, it can only mean one thing: it’s the '80s and we love being taken back there!

The upcoming film, Take Me Home Tonight, takes place in 1988 and is about 23-year-old Matt Franklin (Topher Grace), who graduates from MIT and finds himself  living in limbo while working at the local video store back home in the midst of figuring out his future. After bumping into his high school crush, Franklin is propelled into a night of unpredictable '80s-style adventure, with his twin sister and best friend at his side.

Once again, another phenomena has swept the globe, and it is very likely that you didn’t even notice.

There is a good chance that you’ve seen them on the side of the road and you couldn’t help but stare at the strange yet intriguing connection that individual has with their sign. There is no way you can get them confused with mere sign holders, because you’re not just being beckoned into the frozen yogurt shop -- you are possibly looking at a championship winning sign spinner.

In honor of this weekend’s NBA All-Star game, I am presenting my (surely controversial) all-time favorite Michael Jackson music video: “Remember the Time”, the 1992 single from his album Dangerous.

I am a sucker for all things Ancient Egypt, and nobody can channel Queen Nefertiti quite like the statuesque Iman! (Which, by extension, means that Eddie Murphy must be portraying her husband Pharaoh Akhenaten… yeeeahhh, not seeing that quite as well.)

Considering February is Black History Month, and Presidents Day is just around the corner, President Obama stood beaming as he awarded thirteen recipients with the Presidential Medal of Freedom this past Tuesday (February 15) at the White House.
