If Charlie Sheen doesn't "straighten up," he will NOT star in the upcoming "Major League" movie ... because the man in charge of the flick tells us he doesn't want another Lindsay Lohan situation.
TMZ spoke with James G. Robinson -- CEO of Morgan Creek Productions -- who tells us, "I'm not going to risk putting Charlie in the movie if he continues messing up."
Robinson continues, "Obviously with Major League 3 there's a huge part written for Charlie's character ... but after dealing with Lindsay Lohan on 'Georgia Rule,' I can speak for someone who has experienced the difficulties of working with an actor dealing with addiction."
"I won't go through that again. If Charlie doesn't straighten up ... I unfortunately can't put him in the movie."
Robinson explains, "When Lindsay was doing 'Georgia Rule,' she would miss full days of work. When an actor doesn't show up for work, you can lose half-a-million dollars a day paying the 250 other people there for the shoot and the costs for the set."
"Two and a Half Men" was officially shut down for the rest of the season after TMZ reported that Charlie wanted to challenge the show's creator Chuck Lorre to a cage fight.
Charlie Sheen just wrote a sternly worded open letter -- which he's given to TMZ -- addressing the decision to shut down the production of "Two and a Half Men" for the rest of the season.
The letter reads:
What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.
Remember these are my people ... not yours...we will continue on together...
Roseanne Barr claims her ex-husband is a piece of GARBAGE ... who threatened to sabotage their son's education unless she PAID for her ex and his NEW wife to live like royalty.
Basically, Rosie is pissed that ex-hubby/bodyguard Ben Thomas wants the comic to pay for him to fly out to Hawaii for 10 days every month -- along with a new wife he met in the Phillipines -- so Ben can visit the former couple's 15-year-old son.
Roseanne claims when she decided to move to Hawaii, she always expected to pay for Ben to fly out to visit their kid -- but "him alone."
TMZ has learned "Two and a Half Men" will immediately stop production for the rest of the season ... because of Charlie's escapades in the last few days ... most recently what he said to TMZ.
CBS and Warner Bros. say, "Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season."
The decision comes several hours after TMZ posted a story in which Charlie Sheen challenged creator Chuck Lorre to a fight, calling him "a stupid, stupid little man and a pu**y punk that I never want to be like."
Sources connected with the production tell us ... Charlie's comments to TMZ were the final straw.
No word on whether production will resume next season.

As we first reported, Sharon obtained a restraining order yesterday against an "obsessed mentally unstable delusional" man -- who, she claims, broke into her house two weeks ago ... and waited for her to show up.
The man -- named Bradly Gooden -- was placed on a psychiatric hold and released four days ago ... but as of yesterday, he's required to stay at least 100 yards away from Sharon at all times.

Justin Bieber's original moppy haircut will live on FOREVER -- because despite the singer's recent earth-shattering hair makeover ... his 28-year-old female look-alike has no plans to chop her locks.

Charlie is scoffing at all the people around him, saying, "All these guys told me to 'clean it up.' Well this is me cleaning it the f**k up."
Charlie, who insists he's sober, says, "All I want is to bring my family together, and I have to deal with all this B.S. politics."
And as if that's not enough, Charlie says "That piece of s**t [Lorre] took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket, and, most importantly, my second family -- my crew's pocket."
Charlie adds, "You can tell him [Lorre] one thing. I own him."

Rose McGowan just got a temporary restraining order against a man she claims is harassing her and threatening her employees.
The order is against Luis Santo III -- and in McGowan's request for the TRO she says he has repeatedly called her office and her agent, "insisting he is in love with me [Rose], demanding to talk to me even though I have never met him or spoken to him."
In the docs -- filed in LA Superior Court -- Rose claims Santo threatened her employees when they didn't let him talk to her.
Twitter messages from Santo to McGowan are also included in the documents. One of them says, "rose don't hurt me! iwill not kidding.u will be gone."
The order requires Santo to stay 200 yards away from Rose. A hearing is scheduled for March 11 when McGowan will ask a judge to make the order permanent.
Lindsay Lohan just showed up at the law office of Blair Berk --- Lindsay's first lawyer -- to noodle over her felony grand theft case ... TMZ has learned.
Sources tell us Shawn Holley and Lindsay decided to call Berk and ask her to review the evidence in the case and strategize with Lindsay. Sources tell TMZ ... Holley met with Lindsay and Dina for hours yesterday at Holley's office. That meeting was followed by a lengthy conversation between Holley and Berk, and the two decided Lindsay should continue the discussion with Berk today.
Holley is and will continue to be Lindsay's lawyer, but in this kind of a pickle, two heads are better than one.
Berk, by the way, is the lawyer who repped Lindsay when she got her 2 DUI's ... and managed to get her off with a legal slap on the wrist. One of the main reasons Berk is meeting with Lindsay -- she was the lawyer in the case the has now led to the probation violation.
It's likely Berk and Lindsay will discuss the D.A.'s plea offer, which would require her to accept 6 months in jail.
