SAVANNAH RIVER, Ga. (June 11, 2004)-- A Coast Guard 25-foot Defender Class SAFE boat and crew from Maritime Safety and Security Team 91106 from New York sit on the Savannah River while a commercial vessel passes through the security zone during the G8 Summit. Portions of the Savannah River were closed to vessel traffic. Only commercial traffic was allowed through to Port Wentworth June 5 to Jun 11. All traffic was stopped for a few hours June 11 while President George W. Bush spoke at the Intern
