Lexus is the luxury division of the auto giant Toyota, founded in 1983 and taking their name from "Luxury EXport to the US". Starting with the flagship LS400, they have expanded into compact and midsize cars as well as SUVs. The IS has raced in Targa Tasmania, and the RX350 SUV crossover is a popular model with families and city dwellers. Lexus cars have developed a reputation for safety and service, winning many awards for quality and reliability. Unveiling the F Marque in 2007 was a push into more performance inspired releases of their cars. Not one to be left behind, the GS Hybrid was unveiled recently.
