Home Hill Observer
The Observer circulates principally in the town of Home Hill, as well as in Ayr, Brandon and the agricultural and pastoral areas to the south, north and west. The Inkerman Sugar Mill at Home Hill is the largest of the four Burdekin district sugar mills and more than 260 farms in the Home Hill district supply about 2 million tonnes of cane from which around 220,000 tonnes of sugar is manufactured. The Home Hill district also supports strong grain, cattle, vegetable and tropical fruit industries. The town is also the home of the Burdekin College of TAFE. The Observer is a true community newspaper reflecting the needs of the region it serves.
