Today's Weather Ex-Tropical Cyclone Carlos is causing heavy, thundery rain over the NT Top End. Tropical Cyclone Dianne is well off the WA coast and having little effect. Warm northerlies are pushing into the east, ahead of a trough that is bringing heavy rain and storms to NSW, VIC and TAS. National Forecast A cooler southwesterly change should generate a few showers across TAS and southern VIC. Hot northwesterly winds will affect eastern NSW, ahead of a trough.
