Most is good with riseup.net, you can return to your normally scheduled lamentation about all the other problems in the world. Please be patient as list delivery is still catching up.

We are working to bring them back up.

List delivery has been delayed today, but we should catch up on delivery soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Due to the actions of one mailing list, riseup has been added to an email block list used by many sites on the internet which is preventing a lot of mail from going out. We're working on getting removed.

Today (August 20) we started doing some work on our core infrastructure. The work will last until next week. Expect some short, temporary outages on all services (mail, lists, crabgrass) and don't panic! We will update this status message when the work is complete.

We have repeatedly requested that they unblock us, but it is taking awhile. This block is because people have given away their password to spammers. RISEUP WILL NOT SEND YOU EMAILS TELLING YOU TO LOGIN ANYWHERE TO KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT ACTIVE!

Please note that we have deployed new certificates. You can verify the fingerprints at help.riseup.net/certificates/

Also, we continue to receive phishing attacks. DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN EMAILS!!!

We will never ask you for your password. Don't respond to emails stating that you need to "verify" your account! Some of these emails might ask you to login to websites that look like the riseup site, but aren't. Be careful!

Most services are running, but one mail server is down. Should be back up by 6pm PT. No mail was lost. Sorry for the trouble.

Due to a large mail provider blocking Riseup lists, we are sending list subscription reminders to a bunch of lists. If you no longer want to be on the list, please follow the instructions to unsubscribe, if you do you want to be on the list you can just disregard.

Sorry about that outage, it was much longer than anticipated. We originally were just doing routine security updates, and some things didn't go so well. Everything is back now, and catching up. Anything you sent will get out, but a little delayed... sorry about that!

That was fun, now we are playing catchup and delivering all the messages that you sent while we had things down. That delay in getting your list mail out will go away soon. Let us know if there are problems with the new system!

We are upgrading our list system, to do this we have to take things down for a little bit, but they will be back soon, promise.
