EPIC the European Photonics Industry Consortium

About EPIC

EPIC is working with industries, universities, and the European Commission to build a more competitive photonics industrial sector in the European economic area, capable of both economic and technological growth in a highly competitive world-wide marketplace.

EPIC Network

EPIC works with the European Commission to translate industry needs into research and development programmes. Through the NEXPRESSO programme EPIC works with SMEs and universities to train students and to launch on the market components and technologies that represent the new direction of the photonics market.

EPIC Membership

Membership in EPIC is open to companies, research institutes, universities, and financial partners (such as banks or venture capital organisations ) having operations in the European economic area. This includes the countries of the European Community, the candidate countries, as well as all non-member European states like Switzerland.

EPIC Organization

EPIC is owned and operated by its members. The annual budget is supported by subscription fees which are scaled to encourage participation of SMEs, R&D laboratories and universities, as well as larger companies.
