Carnage as bomber targets Moscow airport
A suspected suicide bomber killed at least 35 people at Russia's busiest airport in an attack that bore the hallmarks of militants fighting for an Islamist state in the North Caucasus region.
President Dmitry Medvedev vowed to track down and punish those behind the bombing, which also injured over 150 people, including foreigners, at Moscow's Domodedovo airport, a favoured gateway for major Western airlines.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says the Australian embassy in Moscow is urgently trying to confirm whether any Australians were injured or killed in the attack.
