New ABC Shop – Opening in Port Macquarie

An exciting new concept ABC Shop will be opening in Port Macquarie in the coming months.

Various opportunities exist for Part time Shop Assistants with extensive retail experience to join the ABC team. We are also looking for an experience Shop Manager to lead and supervise the new store.

ABC Retail is a distinctive and successful retail chain that is the preferred retailer of quality consumer products related to the charter activities of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, returning all profits for investment in the production of ABC content and programming.

ABC Indigenous Engineering Scholarship 2011

The ABC Communications Networks Division invites applications from Indigenous Australians proposing full time study for a BE in Electrical Engineering at the Kensington campus UNSW.

ABC Communications Networks is the division responsible for managing the distribution and transmission of all radio and television services. This enables the ABC to deliver programming to audiences across Australia and around the world.

The division comprises of Broadcast Network Services, Transmission Network Services and Spectrum and Regulation. Their activities range from facilitating the exchange of audio and video feeds between studios, monitoring the delivery of radio and television services to a network of over 1400 transmitters based over 600 sites.

The ABC is committed to provide a four year scholarship for eligible indigenous Australians by supporting students with the costs of higher education.

As part of this wonderful opportunity the successful applicant will also be invited to undertake a three week paid work experience internship which will be based at ABC Ultimo.
