As you have probably noticed, we have a new website! The aim of this new site is to make browsing wmfo.org simple, clean, and intuitive for the many listeners that use wmfo.org as their interface to our great radio station. Take some time to look around and explore. We think you’ll like what you find…
Notable features include:
embedded audio player: You now have the option to listen to wmfo in a flash-based browser popout window! Follow the Listen Now link to your right to check this feature out. We also have three separate quality levels so you can chose how much of your Internet connection we eat. No more having to open a separate media program to hear your favorite freeform programming. The browser is king!
integrated archives: Want to hear old shows? No need to search for and download them anymore. Use the schedule tab to both view WMFO’s program schedule and browse for old show archives that can be played in our embedded flash player.
wiki: We now have a sweet wiki! This is where we will be hosting a lot of the gritty details about wmfo, from our history to individual show pages to what kind of equipment we use. Even better: You can help us add and edit wiki content! Follow the wiki tab to check it out.
blog: We know you love wmfo, and we want to give you more wmfo to love. Stay tuned for weekly blog updates from our staff members (aka, your favorite DJs) involving concert happenings, music reviews, and lots of freeform banter. See the blog tab for all your reading requirements.
There’s a lot more to the new site too. Take some time and check it out.
feedback: Our favorite opinions are yours. Tell us what you think of the new site! We actively consider suggestion and comments as we update and change the code. E-mail webadmins@wmfo.org with your suggestions. You can also see a list of what we’re currently working on here. Send us your feedback and check back often to see what we’ve added and changed.
