To wrap up our look back at 2010, here’s a brief list of the most satisfying posts that ran on this blog this year. You can probably imagine that working at VH1 puts a person in touch with extreme personalities on a regular basis. Though that is amusing enough to get you through your day, it’s always nice when content you’re proud of as a blogger comes with it. Below are six such instances…
2010: The Year In Posts

2010: The Year In VH1 Gifs
Continuing on in our look back at 2010, below is a wall of this blog’s animated gifs that moved us…and themselves.
Watch Basketball Wives‘ Great Gloria Govan Ambush
The last episode of Basketball Wives ended with Evelyn, Shaunie, Jennifer and Royce storming in on Gloria and Suzie’s lunch. As a preview for this Sunday’s episode (premiering at 8/7c), here’s the rest of that scene in its entirety. Shaunie goes for the jugular like we’ve never seen her before, and Gloria holds her own eventually dropping the C-bomb. This puts the squabbles of last season to shame. These ladies have seriously stepped up their game.
Brandy Gets In The Holiday Spirit With Some Fresh Ink
While most of the country was still busy digesting their Christmas meals, Brandy And Ray-J: A Family Business star Brandy decided to hit the tattoo parlor to get some fresh ink. The sensational R&B star decided to swing by celebrity tattoo artist Peter Koskela’s shop in Southern California on Monday night to get a tattoo of Ganesh that Brandy described on Twitter as the “Egyptian god! Remover of all obstacles:)”. Her tweeps quickly pointed out that Ganesh is, in fact, a Hindu deity and not an Egyptian god, so we hope that she wasn’t counting on curring any favor in the afterlife with the likes of Osiris by getting the body art. Either way, looks hot!

2010: The Year In VH1 Screen Shots
We’ll be looking back at the year that was 2010 on VH1 all week, and to start things off easily is a group of screen shots amassed from various recaps over the past year from shows like Basketball Wives, You’re Cut Off!, Frank the Entertainer in A Basement Affair, What Chilli Wants and more. If you pay close attention, you may see an abstract story unfolding. Or maybe not! Enjoy the images…
Royce Reed’s Recaps - Off-Week Bonus
We are so excited to have Royce Reed blogging here at VH1.com throughout the upcoming season of Basketball Wives. From her insider’s perspective, Royce plans to recap her life both onscreen and off. Although there was no new episode of the show on this week, Royce still has plenty to say. She’s a blogging machine! Just try to stop her. Her thoughts on Internet commenting are below…
Jealousy and Envy
I find it quite humorous when we all hear about the comments people (mostly females) write about us. Despite the negativity, you’re still watching the show so first I’d like to thank you all for that. This blog is for and about the individuals who take time out of their lives degrading another person in an attempt to feel better about themselves. I’ve noticed many times the comments are preceded or followed by:
- “I’m cuter.”
- “He/she could’ve done better.”
- “What did he/she see in her/him?”
- “What were they thinking?”
- “They’re groupies, whores, etc.”
What you don’t realize is that when comments like these are made, they aren’t hurtful to us. They’re funny. This is especially true in the cases of retweets or quotes are merely from cosigners [on Twitter]. If one person says it, someone has to retweet it or quote it otherwise it gets lost in cyberspace. One of my favorite quotes is, “You only need cosigning if your credit is bad.” So those of you making the statements about us being ugly, fake, having no style, etc., look in the mirror because most of you are fighting yourselves and your lack of confidence. I can count the number of times I’ve actually seen someone I consider beautiful inside and out making such a sophomoric statement about another human being: that number is zero.
Examining Celebrity Rehab 4 With Dr. Drew - Episode 6
Celebrity Rehab is back on air and Dr. Drew is back on this blog, giving us his expert commentary in our episode-specific interviews all season long. Below, Drew talks about key points of the sixth episode of the show’s fourth season: the idea that addicts choose drugs over their children, Frankie’s strange withdrawal and Jason Davis’ leaving (and returning to) the facility…
Shaunie O’Neal Talks Getting Back On The Horse
Our quick-hit commentary with Shaunie O’Neal on various issues and scenes that come up in Basketball Wives continues. Below, Shaunie talks about sharing the world (and the screen) with her boyfriend, Marlon Yates. She also talks about her sense of the state of Jennifer Williams‘ relationship…
Regarding her comment on Sunday’s episode about not wanting to get into anything “too serious” with Marlon…
“I would now put it in the serious category. I think that we just took it slow, which is something that was real important to me. I think that now I can say that we’re completely exclusive.”
Exclusive: Keri Hilson On Why Her New Album Makes The Perfect Stocking Stuffer
It’s no secret that we love, love, LOVE Keri Hilson around these parts. In addition to her volunteering to be our Posted artist for the month of November, Keri agreed to perform for the troops during our VH1 Divas show a few weeks back. So just imagine how psyched we were when she decided to pop by the offices just a few hours ago to say hello to us on the day that her new album, No Boys Allowed, hits the stores. In this exclusive video, we chat with her about how the process of making her second album differed from her first (2009’s A Perfect World) and why her record would make the perfect last-minute stocking stuffer.
