Continuing Resolution Through March 4, 2011

December 22, 2010

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government operating until March 4, 2011 by a vote of 193 to 165.  The bill was passed by the Senate earlier in the day by a vote of 79 to 16.

Appropriations Committee Names Democratic Staff for 112th Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Longtime congressional staffer David Pomerantz will be the new Democratic Staff Director of the House Appropriations Committee.

2011 Further Continuing Resolution

The House passed H.J. Res. 105, by voice vote, to extend the Continuing Resolution (CR) the government is currently operating under until December 21, 2010. The current CR expires on December 18.

2011 Full Year Funding Resolution

December 7, 2010

This funding Act freezes FY 2011 discretionary appropriations at the FY 2010 level; providing $45.9 billion less than the President requested for the year.

Within that ceiling, the measure adjusts funding between programs and accounts to deal with current demands and workloads and avoid furloughs.

The House passed the bill by a vote of 212 to 206.
