Leedwell to expand its reach

PROPERTY newcomer Leedwell is expanding its services in two new areas to take on the city's "big four".

Founded just over one year ago, Leedwell will wake on established agencies in the asset management and development consulting arenas.

Director Steve Smith would not disclose the likely financial impact of the growth other than to say it would boost the company's turnover "significantly".

"We are very excited about asset management and I think it will add significantly to our turnover," he said.

"The addition of Leedwell Strategic (development consulting) will also reflect our boutique and niche aspect in the market and will attract different client groups ... who may not have previously."

Gepps Cross bulky goods centre is the "jewel in the crown" for the firm's asset management division, to be headed up by Lyndon Jeffree and is already managing 120 tenants.

Leedwell Strategic is to be formed on the basis on existing business Realty Solutions Australia, run by Matthew Adcock and Cameron Bryson.

Both will become Leedwell principals under a licensing agreement.

Mr Smith said the time had come to focus on the expansion.

"We are very focused on dealing with the clients that want to deal with us and we want to deal with," he said.

"Over the last 12 months we have been focusing a lot on that and they (clients) have asked us whether we have development or asset management services.

"That has been in our headspace but we needed to get our traction first and develop our original sales, leasing and development (services)."

The firm now has 12 employees and plans to move to larger premises early in 2011.
