Fee fight heads to court

A DISAGREEMENT over $7000 in accounting fees has sparked a winding-up application against Adelaide training firm Knowledge Plus.

Managing director Ly Lim said accounting firm PFA Chartered Accountants charged for services it did not provide.

PFA merged with Kennedy & Co last year.

"It is not a lot, but it is the principle," Ms Lim said. "We had to bring in another person to fix it up and that is another cost to us."

Former PFA partner Andrew Russo said services were provided and the claim was valid.

"They have had plenty of time to come back and put a case (as to why the fees shouldn't be charged) and they haven't," he said. "I even offered to discount the fees if they paid early."

Summary judgment has been passed as the first summons went unanswered - and was sent to an incorrect address, Ms Lim said.
