The Shark Greg Norman squires his new wife Kirsten about town

GREG and Kirsten Norman made their red carpet debut last night as husband and wife.

The loved-up couple arrived hand-in-hand at Star City's Astral Restaurant for a pro-golfer cocktail party ahead of the Australian Open, which starts tomorrow at The Lakes.

Norman's third wife - who officially changed her surname from Kutner to Norman - arrived looking glamorous in a white jersey knee-length dress and matching white shoes.

The Shark, wearing a black suit and white shirt, minus a tie, managed to avoid answering any personal questions about his new marriage but said he was happy to be in his wife's home town of Sydney.

"I'm really enjoying my time here. I'm having a ball," Norman, 55, said.

The couple looked relaxed as they mingled with a few people on the red carpet before slipping into the restaurant for the event with fellow professional golfers Geoff Ogilvy and Aaron Baddeley.

What makes Greg Norman think anyone is vaguely interested in what he is doing. Thought he would have given up golf by now. Now how many majors has he actually won in his life, about 4 I think? Not exactly a world beating record when you look at Nicklaus, Woods etc who have both won more majors in a single year, on more than one occasion) then Norman has won in his entire career.

Old Codger of Adelaide - Greg "The Shark " Norman has only won 4 major tournaments which is 4 more than you and 99 per cent of people. He was and is a great ambassador of Australia and was our No. 1 golfer for many years. He has charm and personality and if you are not interested why are you commenting. Ok he might not be as good as Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus but he was / is the best Australian golfer...

Greg has done more for Australian golf than ANYBODY. He is a great ambassodor for all of Australia. Those who knock him are showing their ignorance

Hey Gregg, having a ball is what celebs do, congrats on your new wife Kristen. Of course, Kristen being an interior designer, you already know the meaning of both these words. Have a quiet word with Tiger on the side. As the old saying goes, old golfers never die, they just lose their balls. Good luck old son.

Greg 'neverwas' Norman won two Majors. His biggest claim to fame is the number of Milawaukee Opens and other second rate tournaments he won. Good luck to him as a successful golfer and businessman but champion?.........not in anyone's wildest dreams!

lol...too funny! I still laugh thinking about the great love affair with Chris Evert....and her telling the first wife to get a life and move on...get over the end of her 25 year marriage to Greg....hahaha famous last words! Yeah..that ( new one) marriage went the distance. I reckon this one will be even shorter! Too funny!

Typical the tall poppy syndrome rears its ugly head, how many of the losers that commented on his only winning 2 majors have done anything worth commenting about, jealousy is a curse get a life!
