NICOLE Kidman and Keith Urban opened up about their marriage and Urban's drug addiction on an Oprah Winfrey Show Special on Channel 10 last night.
Urban, who will appear with Kidman when Oprah hosts her show at the Sydney Opera House on December 14, said he never would have kicked his alcohol and cocaine addictions without his wife.
He said: "She really should have walked. I'm just glad she didn't. She made a decision to initiate, ultimately, this intervention and the love that was in that room at that moment was just right."
Urban talked about how nervous he was the first time he met Kidman at a function and said they just "clicked."
He also talked about a later date when they were sitting on a park bench and he asked her, "How's your heart?," to which she replied, "It's open."
Kidman became teary on the show when Oprah read aloud the love letter Urban had written for her on his latest CD.
She also talked about their love for their two-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, and how they love going out for "cappuccinos" together.
"I have a cappuccino, and she has what she thinks is a cappuccino, and it's just froth," Kidman said on the show.
"But I do get embarrassed because she's like, 'one cappuccino?', and I'm like, 'no, no, she doesn't drink coffee'."
Meanwhile, Carrie Bickmore of The 7pm Project recorded a special segment on what Oprah and her traveling audience can expect when they come to Australia this month, including terms such as barbie, budgie smugglers and sunnies, and the greeting "hi" instead of "g'day."
