Thanks everyone WordCamp New Zealand 2010 was on August 7th and 8th in Auckland.  WordCampNZ 2011 is on next in Wellington Feb 19th & 20th*. WordCamp AU is a week later  in Melbourne – on the weekend of  26th & 27th of Feb so you can go to both if you are keen.

Wellington for WordCampNZ 2011Wellington is a beautiful Harbour city popular with locals and overseas visitors . It has been  Voted Kiwis’ favourite New Zealand destination and we like it.

WordCampNZ ’09 was held at the (Mt) Victoria Bowling Club and was a huge success.

WordCampNZ ’10 was in Auckland and we had 20 presentations over 1.5 days in two streams. Also it rained so much the ducks were looking for raincoats :) We have moved the event to NZ summer which is why it is only 6 months between 2010 and 2011. That and its much better weather for surfing, mountain biking and drinking coffee outside.

*Note: Feb 19th is the day after Webstock so you can also go to that event and spend more time in Wellington.

WordCamps focus on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you.

Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. Like WordPress itself WordCamps like this one are organised by volunteers. WordCamp NZ is a non-profit charitable trust and all resources go towards future events.

WordCamps are open to WordPress.com and WordPress.org users alike.

Did you land here after a search ? WordCamp Central has the list for all WordCamps over here.
