What information does the BBC collect about me?

When you interact with the BBC we sometimes receive personal information about you.

How do we use your information?

• To personalise the way BBC content is presented to you (eg if you tell us your post code we may use this information to customise your view of the BBC homepage so that you always see the local weather for your area.)

We will keep your information confidential and generally we will only use your information within the BBC. However, we sometimes use third parties to provide services on our behalf, for example independent producers who make programmes for us.
