OPRAH Winfrey is reportedly considering splashing out on one of the most expensive homes in the United States.

The media mogul is said to have inspected the sprawling Old Frick Estate in the ulta-exclustive suburb of Alpine in New Jersey according to The New York Post.

The five-story English manor style property boasts nineteen bathrooms and 12 bedrooms is valued at a cool $68 million.

Winfrey arrived at the property in an entourage of two-blacked out SUVs and a van yesterday

"Her people requested that everyone leave the house so it would be empty when she walked through," a source tells the newspaper.

The estate boasts everything Winfrey could dream of including a carriage house, a library, perfectly manicured English gardens, a ballroom, a fully equipped movie theatre, tennis court, saline pool and wine cellar.

If the talk show host, who is due to hang up her microphone after 25 years in front of the camera soon, does decide to buy the property she will have a slew of celebs including Sean 'P Diddy' Combs, Eddie Murphy and the Jonas Brothers as neighbours.
